THE FIRST TIME AT AN AMUSEMENT PARK

Driving in the car you feel the excitement almost bursting out of you. You see the big red roller coaster first. It’s so shinny and bright, like a big toffee apple.
You leap out of the car and run for the entrance, your parents trailing in your small footsteps. As you enter you feel a rush like never before. Everyone is smiling and laughing around you and it’s almost as if they are all being suspended in a pure state of euphoria.

Skidding to halt in front of the first ride you see. You look up to find a giant monkey staring down at you, smiling and saying come this way. You stand in line for what seems like a life time when finally you get into the little cart and buckle up. You’re a bundle of nerves and excitement.

You climb up, up and when you reach the top, you look through slits to see how high you are and realise you want to get out. Its too late, there’s no stopping now, as you free fall into a bundle of spins and full speed turns until just before you want to scream, it ends. Your first true experiences of freedom and endorphins something no one can ever forget.

WHAT HAPPENS TO IMAGINARY FRIENDS WHEN THEY ARE NO LONGER NEEDED?

Remember when you were little and you had that one special friend no one seemed to notice or pay attention too yet to you they were your whole world. The friend you told all your secrets to, the one who did everything you did, the one who liked all the same things as you and the one who never had to go home to their parents. Yes I’m referring to your imaginary friend.

Well what happened to them after you grew up and found out, just like Father Christmas, that they weren’t really real. Did they just disappear and turn into nothing or are they floating around the universe waiting for the next little creative mind to conjure them up into reality again?

I guess it depends on the person and where they are in life. Creativity is a skill that not everyone possesses and therefore we can not dictate where these friends have gone as it is a journey for the individual mind to take.

A LOVE STORY ABOUT TWO TREES THAT ARE GROWING JUST FAR ENOUGH APART THAT THEY'LL NEVER TOUCH

There are two old oak trees growing in a forest. They have been together since their seeds were planted in 1988. They have shared many a memory over the years. Their lives have been intertwined from the beginning and their love for each other has grown almost as big as they are, yet they can never touch.

They have helped to keep their visitors dry in the rainy season and sheltered from the heat of the sun’s rays in the summer. Lovers have held each other passionately behind these trees and in all this time they have never touched.
Today was different though, there was a huge storm in the land of the oak tree and everything was moving rapidly in the howling wind when all of a sudden the two old oak trees branches touched each others. That one small touch was enough, enough to keep them happy for years to come. Proving that it’s not how often we touch but how much we love.

AN ACCIDENT

Maggie, a curly blonde with sea blue eyes had just turned five. She was a little tyrant; darting here and there in search of her next victim. The cat was her usual suspect but today she was quiet and calm.

She sat on her chair in the kitchen, extreme concentration on her face. She was helping mommy bake a cake. Something she loved doing and of course something that mostly kept her out of trouble.
She mixed and added ingredients as her mom gave them to her but when mommy turned around, Maggie, tried to add the icing sugar to the butter in the bowl and managed to pour the whole bag in. She was very upset and started to sob. Mommy looked at the bowl and said in a pleasant voice, “its okay my angel we will just have to make more cupcakes.”
Maggie was over the moon and decided not all accidents are bad.

A WALK IN THE PARK

The leaves are all turning a golden orange brown colour and floating gently to the floor. There are lapses of green here and there but mostly the shades of autumn lie scattered on the ground. The park is calm and quiet with gentle wisps of wind darting through the trees.
Autumn is here and it’s a beautiful time of year to take a walk in the park. There is an old couple sitting by a giant, mottled oak tree. They are holding hands and rekindling the love they felt in their youth. Nothing seems more precious to them than each other.

A small boy runs through the leaves scattering them all over the place as he darts off after the ball his father has just thrown. He screams with laughter as his dad catches him and tosses him high in the air.
Yes, autumn is here and it’s a beautiful time of year to take a walk in the park.

A SMALL CHILD’S LAUGHTER

A small child’s laughter can brighten up any ones day. It channels through the air and straight into your heart. It is so light and simple that no man or woman could ever betray it or disrespect it.

Why it is that in today’s sad and dreary world we as adults never laugh, atleast not with a joy of a child. A child laughs up to 300 times a day whereas a fully grown adult only laughs a maximum of 15 times a day.

It is a sad reality that there is actually a business for people to teach adults how to laugh, how to bring back your inner child and just laugh, for no rhyme or reason. If only there was a potion we could take to bring back the laughter...
I believe we need to teach ourselves to start laughing even if at first it is forced, it will eventually come naturally and the benefits of being positive and happy will create a far better lifestyle for us all.

LOVE AND HATE

Love and hate are the emotions that separate us all. Love can be seen in the eyes of a small child as they look up into the face of their mother whilst she makes them breakfast. Hate plasters her eyes as she thinks of her husband who left her last night for his small town secretary.

Why do we love and hate? Why can’t we just feel one or the other all the time? I believe it’s because without the one how can you ever appreciate the other? It’s the same as day and night, summer and winter or happy and sad; neither of these can be appreciated without the other. They belong together and we always need opposites in life. Hence the expression “opposites attract”.

Appreciate the emotions you feel for someone don’t loath them and rather try to embrace them as this will help you to lead a far happier life.
